Audiogram maker for podcasts
An audiogram turns a moment of podcast audio into a video people can watch with the sound off: your cover art, sound bars that move with the voice, and captions that appear word by word.
Make one free right now, with no account, or sign up free and let Cheap Clipping find the best moments in the whole episode for you.
No card needed. Paid plans from $5 a month.
Make an audiogram in three steps
The free audiogram maker works straight from a podcast link, so you don't need to download anything first.
- Paste a link to your episode: Apple Podcasts, Spotify (when the show has a public feed), Podbean, Buzzsprout, an RSS feed or the episode's page
- Listen, pick the start of the moment, and choose 30, 45 or 60 seconds
- Pick a look and caption style, then download the MP4
What makes a good audiogram
Audio-only clips have no faces or reactions to hold attention, so the words do all the work. Start on the line that matters, not the setup before it. Choose a moment that makes sense without the rest of the episode. Keep it short; 20 to 45 seconds is plenty for most moments.
Captions are essential, because most people scroll with the sound off. A short hook title on screen tells people what they're about to hear and why they should stay.
When you want more than one
The free maker is perfect for a single moment you already know. When you want clips from every episode, a free account does the finding for you: Cheap Clipping transcribes the whole episode, suggests the most shareable moments with a score for each, and turns them all into audiograms.
With an account you can also restyle captions, fix misheard words across every clip, choose 9:16, 4:5, 1:1 or 16:9, and use your brand colours on the Creator plan.
Where to post your audiograms
Vertical 9:16 audiograms fit TikTok, Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts. For the Instagram and Facebook feeds, 4:5 takes up more of the screen than a square. LinkedIn works well with 1:1 or 4:5, and 16:9 suits a YouTube community post or a website.
Post a few moments from each episode across the week rather than one on release day, and point people to the full episode in your caption or bio. If a clip does well, that's a sign the topic deserves its own episode.
Check the audio before you export: a moment with music under it or people talking over each other is harder to follow with captions alone, so pick a cleaner line when you can.
Plans
The free plan gives you 2 hours of video or audio a month, for episodes up to an hour long. Downloads carry a small watermark. Paid plans start at $5 a month for 10 hours, with no watermark.

Questions
Is the audiogram maker really free?
Yes. You can make a few audiograms a day without an account. They carry a small watermark. Paid plans remove it.
What sizes can I download?
Vertical 9:16 for TikTok, Reels and Shorts, 4:5 and square for feeds, and 16:9 landscape for YouTube.
Is my audio uploaded?
The free maker fetches only the moment you choose, to transcribe it. The video itself is made in your browser.
What if my show has no cover art?
If the artwork is missing or blank, Cheap Clipping draws a clean cover tile with your show's initials.
