Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal data Cheap Clipping (“we”, “us”) collects when you use cheapclipping.com, why, and the choices you have. We are the data controller. Contact us at hello@cheapclipping.com about anything in this policy.
What we collect
- Account: your email address, and your name and profile picture if you sign in with Google.
- Your videos: uploaded videos are opened and cut in your browser and are not sent to our servers. To find the best moments we send the audio track to our servers and AI providers, and store the resulting text with timings, the clips we suggest, and a small thumbnail. For videos imported from a link, we fetch the video from the site you name to do the same, and fetch short sections again when you preview or export.
- Brand kit: the logo and style settings you save.
- Billing: your plan and subscription status. Card details are handled by Stripe; we never see or store them.
- Technical: IP address, browser type and logs needed to run and secure the Service. We don’t use advertising or tracking cookies, only the cookies needed to keep you signed in.
Why we use it
- To provide the Service you signed up for (contract).
- To take payments and keep tax and accounting records (contract and legal obligation).
- To keep the Service secure, prevent abuse and fix problems (legitimate interests).
- To email you about your account, and about changes to the Service or these policies.
We don’t sell your data, and we don’t use your videos or audio to train AI models.
Who processes it
We use these providers, under contracts that protect your data:

Where data leaves the UK or EEA, we rely on adequacy decisions or standard contractual clauses.
How long we keep it
- Audio is processed in memory and never stored by us.
- Video fetched for link imports, previews and exports is streamed to you and not kept on our servers.
- Projects, clip data and thumbnails stay until you delete the project or your account.
- Billing records are kept for as long as tax law requires (usually 6 years).
Your rights
Under UK and EU data protection law you can ask to access, correct, delete or export your data, and object to or restrict how we use it. Email hello@cheapclipping.com and we will reply within one month. You can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk) or your local data protection authority.
Children
The Service isn’t meant for anyone under 16, and we don’t knowingly collect their data.
Changes
If we make significant changes to this policy we will tell you by email or in the app.
